daughter knowing impact of father2017 was a watershed year for Abiding Fathers. In faith, twelve months ago we launched Fathering 101, a series of testimonial videos and an upgraded curriculum. The $75,000 project was completed in English in September and the Spanish version is nearing completion.

Churches who have already invested in teaching the new curriculum have been generous in their praise.

“I wish all men in our church would take the class and begin putting into practice the principles taught.” – David B.

A big thank you to the many people who have supported this endeavor through financial gifts, prayers, testimonials, production and editing. Grace Ministries did an excellent job with the production and now serve as our key marketing/distribution organization. Abiding Fathers has moved to a new level of opportunity to impact fathers and families across the U.S. and beyond.

We want to continue the movement so that thousands of churches, prisons, men’s ministries, pregnancy centers and individuals can reap the benefits of the mission.

We are grateful and excited that Rafy Gutierrez has signed on to build Abiding Fathers en Español. This will be a giant step in serving Hispanic families. Rafy has a big vision.

We are currently teaching in seven (7) Texas prisons in English and Spanish. There is the potential to expand to seventy-five (75) additional prisons. We have received heartfelt feedback from more than 1,000 dads who have been equipped so far.

“It challenged me to do a brutally honest self-evaluation and address my shortcomings as a dad.” – Powledge Unit Resident

Abiding Fathers is poised for dynamic growth, but we cannot continue to expand our reach without your continued support-financially and prayerfully. You can also help by introducing the Fathering 101 video series to your church and/or men’s group. We’d be honored to provide personal presentations. Let’s talk. Also, how about inviting friends and neighbors to your home for a Fathering 101-Be the Dad viewing party?

Our budget for 2018 is $150,000. No gift is too small. Won’t you help provide books, new videos, and study guides to dads? The prison ministries are all funded by your generosity, and we anticipate a surge in demand by more prison units as word of these successes spreads. The budget includes the added costs of materials for the Hispanic community.

Pray and ask God to lead you in what you are to give this year, as a one-time gift or as a regular monthly donation. Over the past seven years, we have received $25, $50, $100, $200, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000 gifts and one $28,000 donation. Whatever you are led to donate this year, please make a point to pray regularly that God will widen and deepen the influence of Abiding Fathers and Abiding Fathers en Español in the lives of dads across our nation.
